Our Story
More than a hundred years at the table
The Heritage House started as a boarding house in 1911. In 1922, Tom and Leola Adams brought it to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where over the years it served as a boarding house, a restaurant, and a general store.
The same delicious Southern cooking, the same friendly faces.
In the mid 1980s, Robert and Shirley Patrick turned it into the Southern buffet that Gulf Coast families came to love. Kathy Baker took the reins in 1996 and has carried the tradition ever since. When Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original building in 2005, she rebuilt on Highway 90, and The Heritage House still runs today with the help of her family and friends.
